LUCY NOISWORTHY, a resident of Charleston, joined her beloved husband, Van, and her family in heaven, after a long and beautiful life on Saturday October 16, 2021 at the age of 96.
She was born December 27, 1924 in Wyatt to the late Frank and Ruth Franz Baugh. She married her childhood sweetheart, Van Noisworthy on July 18, 1943. They had two children, Gary and Vanette.
In addition to being a dedicated and loving mother and wife, Lucy loved crocheting, reading, and visiting with family and friends. In her younger years, she worked in the meat department for over 40 years for Barketts, Del Farm, and IGA in Charleston. Throughout her entire Life, she held an unwavering faith in God and prayed continuously for her family and friends. Lucy was the last original member of the Elm Street Baptist Church in Charleston under the pastoral leadership of Brother Jon Archie.
Lucy was preceded in death by her loving husband, parents, and her sister Hallie Sichling, brothers Arthur Baugh, Puddy Baugh, Charlie Baugh, Tom Baugh, and Bill Baugh.
She is survived by her children, Vanette Hensley-Salyer (Bil) of Poplar Bluff, Gary Noisworthy (Sherri) of Sikeston; five grandchildren, Rick Hensley (Karen) of Paducah, Shelly Stone (Bill) of Jackson; Trevor Noisworthy (Kelly) of Poplar Bluff, Cindy Garland (Daniel) of Cape Girardeau, and Tiffany Seth (Don) of St. Louis; 15 great grandchildren and 16 great-great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 20, 2021, from 10:00 am until 11:00 am at the McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston. Private Family Graveside Services will follow at the IOOF Cemetery under the direction of McMikle Funeral Home. Brother Jon Archie, pastor of Elm Street Baptist Church, will officiate.
Pallbearers will be Rick Hensley, Trevor Noisworthy, Trey Stone, Garrett Stone, Blake Stone, Josh Stone and Ethan Hensley.
