Obituary

L.V. "Red" BROTHERS, Age 87, a resident of Sikeston and formerly of Charleston, died, Thursday, April 11, 2013 at the Bertrand Nursing Center.

Born February 14, 1926, in Fisk, MO, to the late Joseph and Edna Ethel Brothers, he was a member of the Rauch Spence Memorial United Methodist Church in Morehouse. He had served as the Municipal Judge of Morehouse and was a self-employed carpenter for many years. He was a Veteran of the U.S. Navy.

On December 5, 1982, at Morehouse, he married Eula Fay Stroud, who survives of the home.

Also surviving are: one son, Terry Lee Brothers of Sikeston; two daughters and sons in law, Judy and Jerry Canter of Diehlstadt and Carla and Mike Sellers of Munford, TN; two stepsons, Butch (Bonnie) Stroud of Lady Lake, FL and Gene (Mary) Stroud of Sikeston; four grandchildren, six step grandchildren and five step great grandchildren.

One step daughter, Linda Fay Stroud McClain and ten brothers and sisters preceded him and death.

There are no services scheduled.
