Marcia Leah Sherrod

Marcia Leah Odum Sherrod, age 72, of Sikeston, MO., passed away, Friday, May 15, 2026, at the home of her daughter in Bertrand, MO.

Born December 5, 1953, in Dexter, MO, to the late Odell Odum and Neva Mae Blunt Odum, she was a 1972 graduate of Sikeston High School and had lived in Sikeston most of her life.

For several years, Marcia was employed with the Standard-Democrat newspaper until taking time to be with her children. She then went to work as a communications operator with Missouri Delta Medical Center and was there for over 20 years until her retirement.

Marcia loved doing word search puzzles and especially spending time with her grandchildren. She was of Pentecostal belief.

She married Ronald Sherrod and he survives of the home.

Also surviving are her children, Jackie Tollison (Frank Sevic) of Bertrand; Joe (Deanna) Sherrod, Jessica (Jon) Cable, and Trish (Curtis) Tumbleson all of Sikeston; her grandchildren Logan, Morgan, Tucker, Jayce, Daelyn, Ryatt, Brandon, Courtney, and Jackson; her great grandson, Roland; her sister, Sandy (Bob) Vaughn of Cape Girardeau, as well as a number of other family members and friends.

Visitation from 2:00 p.m. until the funeral hour at 3:00 p.m., Saturday, May 23, 2026, at the McMikle Funeral Home in Sikeston.

Private interment will follow.
