MARGARET ANN GRIFFIN GLASS, Age 79, died Monday, April 8, 2019, at the Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.

She was born August 25, 1939, in Charleston, to the late Leland Britton Griffin and Willie Mae Baker Griffin. Following a lifetime of 20 years as a military wife, while her husband served in the U.S. Navy, she received a special commendation from the Navy in recognition of her constant and dedicated support. When she and her husband returned to Charleston, they operated a motel business and the Charleston Carpet Cleaning service a number of years. She was of the Baptist belief.

On April 20, 1956, at Hernando, MS, she married Robert Eugene "Bob" Glass, who survives of the home. They would soon celebrate their 63rd anniversary.

Also surviving are her daughter and son in law, Sharron Kay (Steve) Coleman of Charleston; her sister, Jean (Bobby) Boyd of DeWitt, AR; her grandsons, Thomas Craig Glass, Kenneth Robert (Jamie) Bailey and Scott Britton (Jennifer) Robertson; granddaughter, Lisa (Matt) Mabus;  great grandchildren, Jaidon, Madison, Trey, Harper and Maddox. And especially her beloved Alaskan Malamute, Major.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Robert Eugene "Bobby" Glass, Jr; her daughter, Sandra Sue Crane; three brothers, Spencer Griffin, Joe Griffin and John Griffin and by two sisters, Betty Powell and Sue Norris.

Private services will be held at the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery at Bloomfield, MO, under the direction of the McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston.
