MARGARET ANN RUSSELL HELMS, Age 81, a resident of East Prairie, died Thursday, December 22, 2011 at the Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.

Born March 14, 1930, at Lawrenceburg, TN, to James Harrison and Martha Elizabeth McCurry Russell, she had lived in East Prairie most of her life and was a member of the Harvest Free Will Baptist Church in East Prairie.

On October 7, 1966, she married Allen Neal Helms, who preceded her in death on April 2, 1989.

Surviving are: one brother and sister in law, Claude and Pam Russell of Sikeston; three sisters and two brothers in law, Emma Lou and Bill Neal and Mary Bell Dement of East Prairie; Billie Jane and John Joe Aycock of Charleston; a number of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by four brothers, Lewis John Russell, James Carlos Russell, William Edward Russell and Joseph Jefferson Russell and one sister, Betty Sue Humphreys.

Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. until the funeral hour at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, December 27, 2011 at the McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston. Rev. Bill Adkisson of East Prairie, will officiate.

Interment will follow in the East Prairie Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of McMikle Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be: Roy Russell, Lee Russell, Mike Russell, John Joe Aycock, Donnie Humphreys and Casey Holman.
