Margie Ann Douglas Mayabb was a resident of East Prairie, Mo. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She left this world peacefully with her family by her side at Saint Francis Medical Center on December 16, 2021.
She was born on October 19, 1943 to Amos Ray Douglas and Mable Marie Hedges Douglas. Margie was one of nine children.
She was united in marriage to Clarence Lee Mayabb on May 31, 1960. Together they had three children. They lived many different places during their years together but always followed their hearts back home to East Prairie, Mo.
Margie worked outside of the home at different times throughout her life, however the job that brought her the most joy and fullfillment was raising her children and caring for her family.
She loved to color, watch The Hallmark Channel, spend time with loved ones, play dominoes and go to church.
Margie had an unwavering faith. She lived a good Christian life, always knowing that no matter what was going on it was going to be okay because God was in control.
She was preceeded in death by three brothers, Bill Douglas, Porter Douglas, and Jeff Douglas. Two sisters, Louise Douglas and Margaret Douglas Stone.
Her father Amos Douglas, her mother Mable Caldwell, step father Theodore Caldwell and daughter Melissa Mayabb Norton.
She left behind her husband Clarence Mayabb of East Prairie, Mo. Two sons, Tom Mayabb and wife Mary of Poplar Bluff,Mo and Kevin Mayabb and wife Tina of East Prairie, Mo. Three brothers, Howard Douglas and wife Betty of Scott City, Mo, Harlan (Toby) Douglas and wife Ann of Benton, Mo and Richard Douglas and wife Debbie of South Roxanna, Illinois. Many precious grandchildren and great grandchildren. Numerous other family members and so many friends.
Visitation will be held at The Full Gospel Church in East Prairie, Mo, on Tuesday, December 21, 2021 at 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, December 22, 2021 at 10:00 am., at the church.
Interment will follow in the East Prairie Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of the McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston.
Pallbearers will be her grandsons, Nathan Rapert, Eric Rapert, Kevin Lee Mayabb, Joshua Mayabb, Mason Mayabb and Conner Mayabb.
