MARILYN LEE REED BROWN, Age 74, formerly of Charleston, MO, died Saturday, July 23, 2016, at her home in Lake Mary, Florida.
Born January 13, 1942, at Cairo, IL, to the late John R. and Dorothy D. Reed, she was a graduate of Cairo High School and had attended the University of Missouri at Columbia. She was a member of the Charleston United Methodist Church in Charleston, MO and also Northland- A Church Distributed in Longwood, FL. She was an active participant in the Northland Women's Community Bible Study.
An avid golfer, she was a member of the Victoria Hills Women's Golf Association and was formerly Club Champion at Deland Country Club in Deland, FL and The Charleston Country Club in Charleston, MO.
On July 1, 1961, she married E. Lindsay Brown, III, who survives of Lake Mary, Florida.
Also surviving are her children, Bethany Brown of Lake Mary, FL; Pamela Brown Smith and her husband, Mickey Smith of Union City, TN; Gregory Brent Brown of Longwood, FL and Randy Brown of Augusta, GA; her grandchildren, Lindsay J. Smith of Nashville, TN, Russell H. Smith of Atlanta, GA and Laura Reed Smith of Knoxville, TN.
There will be no services here locally.
Memorial services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, July 30, 2016 at The Newcomer Funeral Home-South Seminole Chapel, 335 East State Road 434, Longwood, FL 32750
