MARILYN JEAN RODGERS, 66, died peacefully Tuesday, March 12, 2019, at her home in Gordonville.
Born October 24, 1952, at Bernie, MO, to the late Carlton "Buck" Rodgers and Opal Howell Rodgers, she was a 1971 graduate of Jackson High School and had lived in Jackson area most of her life. She was a professional seamstress for many years and had attempted and excelled at every craft imaginable, having made and sold hundreds of custom quilts.
Surviving is her long-time partner, John "J.C." Chapman of the home.
Also surviving are two daughters, Angela (Stephen) McConkey of Bertrand and Michelle Nunnally of Cape Girardeau; one brother, Donald (Linda) Rodgers of Gordonville; five grandchildren, Alicia, Dustin, Devin, Alexandria and Connor; and three great grandchildren, Kayliegh, Bentley, Dixon and one on the way.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by one granddaughter, Somer Dawn Nunnally.
Private family services will be held at a later date.
