Marjorie Lee Baker, 93, of East Prairie, died Thursday, June 4, 2026, at the Bertrand Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

Born September 20, 1932, in the Whiting Community of Mississippi County, MO, to the late Clarence A. and Lena Marten Baker.  A 1950 graduate of East Prairie High School, Marjorie was a lifelong resident of East Prairie and a longtime member of the First Baptist Church in East Prairie. For a number of years, she was employed with the Fletcher-Zimmer Lumber Company and later with Big Oak Farms until her retirement. Marjorie will be remembered for her integrity and quiet grace.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by an infant brother, C.L. Baker, her brother and sister in law, Clarence Leonard “Bud” Baker and his wife, Mary Gene Smotherman Baker; and her sister, Elizabeth Marie Baker.

Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. until the funeral hour at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, June 14, 2026, at the First Baptist Church in East Prairie, MO. Bro. George White will officiate.

Interment will follow in the Dogwood Cemetery under the direction of McMikle Funeral Home of Charleston.
