MARK ALAN CLARDY, Age 48, a resident of Sikeston, died Friday, October 17, 2014, at the Centennial Medical Center in Nashville, TN.

Born January 27, 1966, at Charleston, MO, to Rita Marshall Clardy who survives of Sikeston and the late Cleman Ray Clardy, he was a 1984 graduate of Charleston High School and had lived in Ballard County, KY a number of years moving to Sikeston in 2009. He was employed as a Captain and Pilot with the Ingram Barge Lines at the Columbus/Belmont Terminal and had served in the Missouri National Guard and the U.S. Army.

On August 22, 1989, he married Laurie Kay Miller, who survives of the home.

Also surviving are two daughters and one son in law, Lacey Michelle Clardy of Bell City, MO and Brittnee Shay and Cody Russell of Sikeston; one sister, Tammy Clardy of Sikeston and one grandson, Conner Aaron Russell of Sikeston.

Visitation will be from 10:30 a.m. until the funeral hour at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, October 21, 2014, at the McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston. Rev. Kempton D. Baldridge, chaplain with the U.S. Navy and Merchant Marines, of Paducah, KY, will officiate.

Interment will follow in the Dogwood Cemetery near East Prairie under the direction of the McMikle Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be: Chris Miller, Corey Loomis, Mike Owens, Cody Russell, Ed Kearney and Scott Pullen.

Honorary pallbearers will be his grandson, Conner Aaron Russell and Darrell Grubbs and Danny Marshall.
