Markus "Mark" T. McCormick, 63, died Wednesday, Aug. 29, 2018 at Pemiscot Memorial Hospital in Hayti.  He was born September 30, 1954 in Chicago to the late Eulen & Lee (Mitchell) McCormick.  He was of the Pentecostal faith, had been a grill cook at various restaurants,  had been a resident of the Sikeston area for 2 years, and was previously a resident of Metropolis, IL.  He was married to Brenda Wilkins Sept. 22, 2001 in Metropolis and she survives of the home.  Also surviving are 1 daughter, Tonya McDaniels of Wyoming;  1 stepdaughter, Ashley (Wilkins) Smith of Sikeston and 2 aunts and several nieces and nephews.  In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by two sisters, Mary Conder and Euleen Poe.  The family will make plans for a memorial service to be held at a later date.  Online condolences may be shared with the family at blanchardfuneral.com.
