Obituary

MARSHALL C. LINEBAUGH, age 86, a resident of Diehlstadt, died Monday, December 19, 2011, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

He was born February 13, 1925, in Blodgett to the late Samuel Thomas and Mina Jerrel Brooks Linebaugh. He had lived in Charleston and the surrounding area his entire life. He owned and operated Linebaugh's garage in Charleston for forty years until his retirement and was a member of the First Southern Baptist Church in Diehlstadt. He was a US Army Veteran of World War II.

On October 5 1946 he married Dorothy Lee Crosno who preceded him in death on April 28, 2002.

Surviving are one son, Gary Linebaugh of Scott City; one daughter, Marsha McCormack of Cape Girardeau; three grandchildren, Megan Linebaugh Carter of Brentwood, TN, Tyler McCormack and Kyle McCormack both of Cape Girardeau; one sister, Evelyn Napier of Nixa.

Preceding him in death were five brothers, James Linebaugh, Harry Linebaugh, Hugh Linebaugh, Theodore Linebaugh, Marcus Linebaugh; and three sisters, Dorothy Hillgameyer, Lillian Loflin and Tillie Mae Linebaugh.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 20, 2011, at the McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston where Funeral Services will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 21, 2011. Rev. Darin Watkins, pastor of the First Southern Baptist Church in Diehlstadt, will officiate.

Missouri Military Honor Guard will conduct Military Graveside Rites at the IOOF Cemetery. Interment will follow under the direction of McMikle Funeral Home.
