MARSHALL HENRY METCALF, age 88, formerly of Bertrand, died Saturday, July 27, 2019, at his residence in Sikeston.

He was born February 16, 1931 in Bertrand to Lloyd and Mary Baker Metcalf. He was employed with the MO Department of Transportation for 31 years where he worked as Shed Foreman at Risco until his retirement. He also served as a Pentecostal Holiness Pastor.

On July 3, 1948 he married Julia Ann Hawes who survives of the home.

Also surviving are five children, Catherine Asher of Buckner, MO, Marshall Thomas Metcalf of Hopkinsville, KY, Julia Anita Emerson and Beth King both of Sikeston, and Freeman Metcalf of Oxford, NC; one brother, Raymond Metcalf of Athens, IL; also 11 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren, and 2 great great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two daughters, Marcella Metcalf and Martha Ann Metcalf; three sisters and one brother.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm on Monday, July 29, 2019, at the McMikle Funeral Home where Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 am on Tuesday, July 30, 2019. Ira Sandefer of Sikeston will officiate.

Interment will follow in the Oak Grove Cemetery under the direction of McMikle Funeral Home.
