MARTHA PHILOMENA JONES CLARK, age 64, of East Prairie, died Monday, November 7, 2022, at the Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis.

Martha was born April 3, 1958, at Sikeston, MO, to the late Earl Pierce Jones and Mary Philomena Scheffer Jones.  Martha grew up in Charleston and was a 1976 graduate of Charleston High School.

Martha began her working career at the Brown Shoe Factory in Charleston, MO.  After several years with the shoe factory, she then went to work at Unilever (Good Humor) in Sikeston where she was a dedicated and hardworking employee until her retirement in 2018 after 32 years.

Martha was a loving wife and mother who would do anything for anyone. She was a true example of Christ with her love and generosity toward others.  She was an active member of the Elm Street Baptist Church until God called her home.

On March 26, 1977, she married Corky Clark who preceded her in death in August, 2022.

Martha is survived by her son, Gordon (Yolonda) Clark, Jr. of Sikeston; her granddaughter, Aubrey Clark of Sikeston; a beloved nephew she and Corky raised, Kyle Jones of Bismark; one brother, David Jones; two sisters, Dianna (Willie) Johnson and Virginia Jones; as well as a number of nephews, nieces, cousins and many friends.

Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until hour 1:00 p.m., Saturday, November 12, 2022, at the Elm Street Baptist Church in Charleston.  Pastor Jon Archie will officiate.

Interment will follow in the Dogwood Cemetery under the direction of the McMikle Funeral Home of Charleston.

Pallbearers will be Charles Wayne Thurman, Nathan Aters, Tommy Smotherman, Siam Dedduang, Thai Dedduang and Cole Byassee.
