MARTIN GALE LANE, age 83, of Sikeston, MO, passed away Friday, March 24, 2023, at Day Break Nursing Center in Miner, Missouri.

He was born August 18, 1939, in Essex, Missouri, to Walter and Edna Duncan Lane and had lived in Stoddard County most of his life.  After graduating high school, he served in the US Army.  He later farmed with his father and was a truck driver.

On September 3, 1998, he married Winifred Staggs, who survives of the home.  Also surviving are his sisters, Juanita (Ardeth) Lane Jones of Puxico, MO, Glenda (Donald) McCollough of Dexter and Judy (Charles) Conner of Georgetown, Kentucky.  He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death an infant daughter, Rhonda Michelle Lane; his brother, Dale Lane, and sister, Sue Lane.

A private service will be held at a later date.
