Martin R. "Marty" Pullen, age 53, a resident of East Prairie MO, died September 5, 2011 at 2:45 PM at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau, MO.
He was born June 14, 1958 in Charleston MO, to Sarah Brumley Pullen who survives of Wyatt, MO, and the late Ross Pullen. He had lived in Mississippi County his entire life and he was a member of Miner Baptist Church. He was self employed at Pullen Auto and Diesel in Charleston until ill health forced his retirement in 2010.
On May 20, 1983 he married Tonya Triplett, who survives of the home.
Other survivors are: one son and daughter in law Nicholas & Samatha Pullen of East Prairie, MO; five brothers and three sisters, Steve & (Paula) Pullen of Villa Rica, GA; Randy & (Melody) Pullen of Dallas, GA; Darrell & (Charmaigne) of La Center, KY; Mitchell & (Marilyn) Pullen of Wyatt, MO; Lydia Pullen of Wyatt, MO; Olivia & (Richard) Smith of Benton, MO; Alex & (Lorie) Pullen of Dexter, MO; Angela & (Scott) Jackson of Lexington, TN; One Granddaughter, Aubrey Pullen of East Prairie, MO. Also, a host of special nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, September 6, 2011 at Miner Baptist Church where funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, September 7, 2011. Stanley Triplett, a brother in law and Brother Mitch Jackson, will officiate.
Interment will follow in the Dogwood Cemetery near East Prairie under the direction of McMikle Funeral Home of Charleston.
Pallbearers will be: Cody Pullen, Nathan Pullen, Randy Chandler, Jamie Shankle, Donald Ashworth and Clayton Campbell.
