Obituary

MARY LOU BRUENDERMAN NEWCOMB, age 87, died Friday, March 25, 2016 at her residence in Charleston.

She was born June 12, 1928 in Charleston to the late Bernard Joseph and Margaret Louise Renaud Bruenderman. She had lived in Charleston her entire life where she was a member of St. Henry Catholic Church, St. Henry Quilting Club, and Daughters of Isabella. In addition to her quilting she enjoyed her flowers, gardening, card playing, and watching her humming birds, Every Sunday afternoon was spent with family playing a variety of games such as pinochle, canasta, and dominoes.

On January 23, 1947 she married Clarence Halton Newcomb who preceded her in death on December 14, 1980.

Surviving are two sons, Danny Newcomb of Cape Girardeau and Chris Newcomb of Charleston; two daughters, Donna (Bob) Dwyer of Tinley Park, IL and Karen (Ronnie) Pullen of Charleston; one daughter in law, Diane Rolwing Newcomb of Sikeston; two sisters in law, Bonnie Bruenderman of Wilsonville, OR and Regina Bruenderman of St. Charles; eight grandchildren, Rob Dwyer, Rodney Dwyer, Deanna McGill, Ronald Newcomb, Kevin Newcomb; also 6 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by one son, Ronald "Ron" Newcomb; five brothers, Raymond Bruenderman, Robert Bruenderman, Edward Bruenderman, Leo Bruenderman, and Bernard "Buddy" Bruenderman; and two sisters, Marie Hahn and Bernice Keen.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Monday, March 28, 2016 at the McMikle Funeral Home. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, March 29, 2016, at St. Henry Catholic Church in Charleston. Monsignor Richard Rolwing of Cape Girardeau will serve as Celebrant.

Interment will follow in the Calvary Cemetery under the direction of McMikle Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Rob Dwyer, Rodney Dwyer, Mike Keen, Randy Keen, Bennie Bruenderman, and Kevin Newcomb.
Honorary pallbearers will be Ryan Dwyer and Randy McGill.

Memorial contributions may be given to St. Henry Catholic School, 306 Court Street, Charleston, MO 63834.
