MARY BELL RUSSELL DEMENT, age 89, died Wednesday, July 6, 2022, at her home in East Prairie.

Known to her family as "Aunt Bell", she was born July 21, 1932, at Lawrenceburg, TN, to the late James Harrison Russell and Martha Elizabeth McCurry Russell.    Bell had lived in East Prairie most of her life and was a member of the St. James General Baptist Church.

Surviving is her brother, Claud (Pam) Russell of Sikeston; several nieces, nephews, and their families, as well as numerous cousins.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers and sisters, Lewis Junior Russell, James Carlos Russell, William Edward Russell, Joe Jefferson Russell, Franklin Russell, Hewey Russell, Betty Sue Humphreys, Billie Jane Aycock, Florence Russell, Margaret Helms, and Emma Lou Neal.

Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until the funeral hour at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, July 12, 2022, at the McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston.

Interment will follow in the Oak Grove Cemetery under the direction of the McMikle Funeral Home of Charleston.

Pallbearers will be D.J. Tatum, Damien Killion, Brandon Killion, Tyler Aycock, Donald Humphreys, III, and Travis Matheney.
