Mary Ellen "Me-Me" Lacy, 79, a life-long resident of the Morehouse community, died at her home Wednesday, April 27, 2016. She was born Jan. 2, 1937 in Morehouse to the late Alonzo and Theodosia (Dye) Ray. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Sikeston and had worked at International Shoe Co. and later as a registered nurse at Missouri Delta Medical Center for over 30 years and retired in 2007. She was married to Earnest Odell "Poppy" Lacy June 30, 1956 in Morehouse and he preceded her in death May 10, 2013. She is survived by 1 son and daughter-in-law, Mike and Barbara Lacy of Morehouse; 1 daughter and son-in-law, Patti and Mike Tackett of Sikeston; 1 grandson, Ryan Tackett of Sikeston; 3 granddaughters and husbands, Belinda and Sean Henson of Morehouse, Jessica and Cory Fincher of Sikeston and Maura and Gaige Russell of Vilseck, Germany; 3 great-grandchildren, Chase Henson of Morehouse, Nora Russell of Vilseck, Germany and (soon to be born) Jett Michael Fincher. Also surviving are 3 brothers Ed (Mabel) Lacy of Ackerman, MS, Phil (Edwina) Lacy of Benton and Glen (Sharon) Lacy of Advance; and 2 sisters Pam (Verbin) Waters of Molton, AL and Marta (Charlie) Hargrave of Jackson. Visitation will be at Blanchard Funeral Chapel from 5 until 8 pm Friday. Funeral Services will be at 2:00 pm Saturday, April 30 in the chapel with Rev. J. D. McClard, pastor of the Cowboy Church in Sikeston officiating and burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Rich Lacy, Clint Lacy, Matt Lacy, Sam Lacy, Jared Lacy and P.J.
