Obituary

Mary Louise Masters went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Wednesday, Sept. 2, 2020.
She was born Oct. 27, 1926, in Catron, Missouri, to Edward and Delsie McGowan Davis. A graduate of Sikeston High School, she lived in Southeast Missouri until moving to Belleville, Illinois. She enjoyed floral arranging and while living in Belleville, she opened "The Holiday Shop" which she operated out of her home. In 1979, following her husband's death, she moved back to Southeast Missouri and enjoyed renovating apartments and renting to SEMO students in Cape Girardeau. She later returned to Sikeston where she was a member of the Fellowship Baptist Church and participated with a group of friends in the Bingo Club.
On Feb. 14, 1948, she married Elmo Masters who preceded her in death on May 7, 1979.
She leaves behind her daughter-in-law, Ginger Masters; seven grandchildren Cecily Fliege, Phillip Masters, Spencer Masters, Rachel Masters, Samuel and Loren Masters, Trevor Masters, and Katherine (Masters) Cory Silvers; six great-grandchildren Willow, Layla, Ella, Azalea, Otto, and Athena; three sisters, Fleta Jo Arnold, Betty Miller and Pat Ham; one brother Mac Davis and his wife Pat all of Sikeston.
Also surviving are her nephews, Bill and Jeremiah Jamieson, Mike Arnold; her nieces, Kathie Archie, Vicki Howard, Janie Cochran, Mary Carolyn Greenwall, Belinda Hamoud, Gwen Ann Seabaugh, Krista Shands and Kelly Jackson; many great-nieces and -nephews.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; her son, David Allen Masters; three sisters, Sylvia Jamieson, Carnice Lee and Beulah Davis; and two nephews, Mark Arnold and Terry Miller.
Visitation will be held on Friday, Sept. 4, 2020, at the McMikle Funeral Home in Sikeston from 11:30 a.m. until the funeral hour at 1 p.m. Pastor Brian Flangian, of The Apostolics of Oran Church, will officiate.
Interment will follow in the Garden of Memories Cemetery in Sikeston under the direction of the McMikle Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be: Spencer Masters, Trevor Masters, Jeff Archie, Christopher Archie, Mackinzie Jamieson and John Howard.
The family would like to offer a special thanks to all the staff of Sikeston Convalescent Center for her care.
