Mary Jo Parker went home to be with her Lord and Savior on August 7, 2023 after an extended illness.

She was born on June 5, 1939 in the Lusk Chapel community of Mississippi County, Missouri to Freda Mae Pemberton.

Mary lived in Charleston all her life and was a member of the First Assembly of God Church in Charleston.

On January 31, 1957 she married the love of her life, Ray W. Parker in Charleston, Missouri, who survives of the home.

Surviving is one daughter, Darla Carlyle (Bobby, Sr.).  She is also survived by seven sisters, two brothers and several nieces and nephews.

Besides her mother she was preceded in death by three sisters and two brothers.

A private graveside service was held at 3:00 p.m., Tuesday, August 8, 2023, at the Oak Grove Cemetery near Charleston.    Rev. Dave McLucas, pastor of the First Assembly of God Church in Charleston, officiated.
