Obituary

MARY AGNES SCOTT PIKE, age 84, a resident of Charleston, died Thursday, November 24, 2016, at the Charleston Manor.

She was born September 2, 1932 in Commerce to John and Clara Leible Scott who preceded her in death. Living in Mississippi County most of her life, she was a graduate of St. Henry Catholic High School in Charleston. A lifelong member of St. Henry Catholic Church, she was member of the Daughters of Isabella and served on the bereavement dinner committee. She also was a Girl Scout troop leader for several years.


Also surviving are three children, Debbie Robertson of Charleston, Richard "Ricky" Pike of Jackson, and Sherrie Heppe (Randy Hubbert) of Charleston; eleven brothers and sisters, Martha Switzer of Cuba, Delbert Scott of Rockford, IL, John E. Scott, Charles Scott, Bob Scott, Pete Scott, David Scott, Mike Scott and Barbara Turner all of St. Louis, Janet Stockton of Rolla, and Mark Scott of Cuba; seven grandchildren, Vadra (Matt) Selenske of Almond, WI, Justin (Summer) Robertson of Tucson, AZ, Sara Jane Robertson of Poplar Bluff, Christopher (Stacey) Pike, Nicole Pike, and Eli Pike all of Jackson; and Brent (Justine) Heppe of Benton; also seven great grandchildren; and many other extended family members.

On May 15, 1952 she married Richard Pike who preceded her in death on June 25, 2016.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one daughter in law, Cecelie Elliott Pike, and three sisters.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 29, 2016 at St. Henry Catholic Church in Charleston from 9:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. where the Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 am. Father Patrick Ike Nwokoye, pastor of St. Henry Catholic Church, will serve as Celebrant.

Interment will follow in the Calvary Cemetery under the direction of McMikle Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be John E. Scott, Bob Scott, Pete Scott, David Scott, Mike Scott, and Robert Earl Criss.
