MARY LORENE POWELL, Age 90, a resident of Charleston, died Tuesday, June 7, 2016, at the Charleston Manor.

Born January 26, 1926, at in the Dublin Community of Graves County, KY, to the late Lawrence Marshall Manker and Alice Virvle Hayden Manker, she had lived in Charleston most of her life where she was a member of the St. Henry Catholic Church and had been employed at the Charleston Manor for over 35 years until her retirement.

On January 27, 1947, she married George Powell, who preceded her in death December 29, 1999.

Survivors include one son and daughter in law, Larry and Jackie Powell of Charleston; one daughter and son in law, Joanne and Jerry Estes of Humbolt, TN; four grandsons, Larry (Laura) Powell, Jr, Joshua (Amanda) Powell; Jonathan (Alicia) Estes and Justin (Allison) Estes; 10 great grandchildren; also her sisters, Marcette Manker Monan of Hustonville, IL; Carolyn Manker Lawrence Coffer of East Prairie, Kay Manker Bellamy of Paducah, KY.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Norman Manker and two sisters, Emily Sue Faris and Agnes Imogene Black, and her grandparents, Paul Clinton Manker and Mary Annette Hayden Manker and William Bennett Hayden and Baldonia Burgess Hayden.

There is no visitation.

Family and Friends may assemeble for Graveside services to be conducted at the Calvary Cemetery near Charleston, Friday, June 10, 2016, at 11:00 a.m..

Interment will follow under the direction of the McMikle Funeral Home of Charleston.

Pallbearers will be: Jonathan Estes, Justin Estes, Larry Powell, Jr., Joshua Powell, David Manker and Don Manker.
