Mary Jo Walker Rolwing, age 93, of rural Charleston, died Friday, July 31, 2026, at the Delta South Skilled Nursing Center in Sikeston, MO.

Born January 4, 1933, in the Lusk Chapel Community north of Charleston, MO, to the late Thomas Glen Walker and Pauline Virginia Jeffries Walker, Mary Jo was a graduate of Diehlstadt High School. She had lived most of her life in rural Charleston and worked along with her husband in their farming and cattle business. She was a member of St. Henry Catholic Church in Charleston.

On May 30, 1953, she married Albert Edward Rolwing, who preceded her in death on December 16, 2008.

Surviving are her children, Lawrence Glen “Larry” Rolwing, Diane Rolwing Newcomb (Dean Martin), Paulette Rolwing (Todd) Lenderman and Cindy Rolwing (Terry) Cole; her daughter in law, Claudia Kirkpatrick Rolwing; her grandchildren, Ronald Newcomb, Teresa (Travis Burger) Cohen, Kevin Newcomb, Jennifer (Tabatha) Owens, Amanda (Wade) Bowden, Jessica (Ben) Moore and Madeline Bryant; several great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren; also, her brother, Terry (LeDeanna) Walker.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Albert Edward Rolwing, Jr., her daughter, Sharon Rolwing Bryant; her son in law, Ron Newcomb; granddaughter, Jacqueline Lenderman; her granddaughter in law, Ying Newcomb, her great granddaughter, Abigail Cohen and her sister, Ginger Walker Harshbarger.

Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. until the funeral hour at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, August 4, 2026, at the St. Henry Catholic Church in Charleston. Father David Dohogne, pastor, will officiate.

Interment will follow in the Texas Bend Cemetery north of Charleston under the direction of the McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston.
