Mary Lillian Self, age 84, of Wyatt, died Sunday, September 11, 2022, at the Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.

She was born November 16, 1937, at Cairo, IL, to the late Elvis Eugene Turner and Dorothy Elizabeth Dismore Turner and had lived in Wyatt most of her life.   She was a member of the Wyatt Baptist Church and had worked as a home health care worker for many years until her retirement.  Mary was one of six children, James, Jerry, Tommy, Patricia and Priscilla.

On May 4, 1957, she married David Lee "Buddy" Self, who preceded her in death July 31, 2021.

Surviving is her son, Jerry Wayne (Stefanie) Self of Charleston; her grandson, Marshall Andrew Self of St. Louis;

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her son, David Joe Self; two infant sons, Charles Eugene Self and Elvis Marion Self.

The family will receive friends from 9:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, September 13, 2022 , at the McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston. Rev. Dean Wallace will officiate.

Graveside services will follow at 11:00 a.m. , at the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield.
