Mary Ann Trosper

Mary Ann Phillips Trosper, age 82, a resident of Catron, MO, died Monday, September 28, 2026, at the New Madrid Living Center in New Madrid, MO.

Born September 12, 1944, at St. Louis, MO, to the late James Henry Phillips and Fredia Marion Tanner Phillips; she had lived in New Madrid County most of her life. Mary had a lifelong commitment to the medical field and service to those in need. She had been employed at the Charleston Manor Nursing Home a number of years and later the Sikeston Regional Center from where she retired. She was a member of the Blodgett Baptist Church for many years and later joined the Trinity Free Pentecostal Church in Marston, MO.

On February 16, 1981, she married Jimmie C. Trosper, who preceded in death on May 15, 2011.

Surviving are her daughters and sons in law, Brenda and Mark Smith and Cindy and Jay Walker; her grandchildren, Ragen Franklin, David Walker, Brooklynn Smith and Nicholas Walker; her great grandchildren, Bella Kolwyck, Charlotte Walker, Skylar Wyatt and Alex Wyatt; as well as a number of nieces, nephews and cousins.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her six brothers and six sisters.

A family service will be held at a later date.
