MELBA JOYCE DAVIS BONDS, age 83, died Wednesday, May 27, 2020, at her home in Morehouse.

Born December 30, 1936, at Peach Orchard, MO, to the late Benjamin Franklin Davis and Sirlda Jane Stovall Davis, she had lived in Morehouse a number of years.

On October 4, 1952, in Piggott, AR, she married Tommy Bonds, who preceded her in death on January 16, 2009.

Surviving are her daughter, Joy Taylor of Morehouse; one son and daughter in law, Wade and Rhonda Bonds of Sikeston; two grandchildren, Malena and Rosalie Bonds of Sikeston and one grandson, Chris Taylor of Cape Girardeau.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her son in law, James "Jim" Taylor; two sisters, Violetta Reed of Sikeston and Louise Scott of Bell City and five brothers, Carter Davis of Parma, Lester Davis of New Madrid, Jacob Davis and Jerrel "Pete" Davis of Dexter and Lloyd Davis of Pevely.

Family and friends may assemble at 11:00 a.m., Friday, May 29, 2020, at the Garden of Memories Cemetery in Sikeston for graveside services. Her nephew, Billy Davis, will officiate.

Interment will follow under the direction of the McMikle Funeral Home of Sikeston.
