MICHAEL DAVID GRAY, age 72, died Tuesday, May 26, 2020, at his home near Benton.
Born November 10, 1947, at Poplar Bluff, MO, to the late G.B. Gray and Dorothy M. Davis Gray, he had lived near Benton a number of years and was of the Baptist Belief. For a number of years, he worked in over the road trucking hauling new cars from St. Louis until his retirement. He was a U.S. Merchant Marine and U.S. Navy Veteran.
On September 4, 1980, he married Patty Ann Vaughn, who survives of the home.
Also surviving are his sons, Jeff and his wife Rachel of Sikeston and Kevin of Kansas City, MO and his daughter, Rachel of Arizona; a number of grandchildren; also, his brothers and sisters, Blair (Carol) Gray and Lane Gray of Poplar Bluff; Patty (Lynn) Gray of Poplar Bluff and Sherry (Bill) of Arkansas.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Michael Shannon Gray; his brothers, Jerry Gray and Steve Gray.
Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Friday, May 29, 2020, at the McMikle Funeral Home in Sikeston where funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, May 30, 2020. Rev. John McHaffie, pastor of First Assembly of God Church in Sikeston, will officiate.
Interment will follow in the Matthews Cemetery under the direction of the McMikle Funeral Home of Sikeston.
