Michael Ray Jeffries, 55, died Saturday, Oct. 5, 2019 in Sikeston.  He was born Sept. 3, 1964 in Sikeston to the late Billy D. and Ruth A. (Crawford) Jeffries.  Michael grew up in Sikeston and was a member of Tanner Street Church of God.  He received his Bachelors Degree from S.E.M.O.  University; he then received his Juris Doctorate from Jones University in Montgomery, Alabama.  He was an attorney  in private practice in Avon, Indiana for about 15 years and was a member of Bar Associations in Indiana, Illinois and Alabama.

Survivors include 2 sons, Tyler Jeffries of Sikeston and Ethan Jeffries of Temecula, California;  one sister Cindy (Doug) Friend of Sikeston and a host of other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be at Blanchard Funeral Chapel from 4:00 until 6:00 pm Monday, Oct. 7, 2019.  Funeral service will be at 6:00 pm. in the chapel with Rev. Jennifer Moxey, Associate Pastor of First United Methodist Church officiating.

Honorary pallbearers will be Lee Dacus, Lloyd Brewer, Larry Beck, John Chandler, Ben Jeffries and Doug Friend.
