Nancy Carol Chappell Hurst, age 81, of Sikeston, died Thursday, December 29, 2022, at the Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.

Born December 1, 1941, at Wyatt, MO, to the late Raymond Arthur Parr and Sue Ann Murphy Parr. She had lived in Sikeston for several years.

On May 28, 1983, she married Donald Hurst who preceded her in death June 26, 2012.

Surviving are her daughters, Rebecca "Becky" Frias and her husband, Roland Frias; and Cynthia "Cindy" Chappell and her fiancé, Chris Moreland; two grandchildren, Lindsay Gilliland and husband, Billy; and Blake Hedge and fiancé, Whitney Green; four great grandchildren, Layla Gilliland, Beau Gilliland, Mia Hedge and Miley Hedge; also, a number of nieces, nephews and cousins.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her grandson, Matthew Joseph Frias; three brothers, Charles Leonard "Buddy" Parr, Willis Edward Parr, and George Arthur Parr and by five sisters, Ann Arthurine Dykes, Peggy Bearden, Jane McKinley, Pauline Heckert and Patricia Wise.
