Obituary
Neoma Beth McKinney, Age 80, a resident of Charleston, died Saturday, February 5, 2011 at The Net (Elvis Presley Trauma Center) at Memphis.
Born January 19, 1931 at Maumee, Ohio, to the late Donald and Nina Fredrick Gay, she had lived in Charleston most of her life and was a member of the First Baptist Church in Charleston.
On March 6, 1948, she married Emory W. McKinney who preceded her in death on January 19, 1990.
Surviving are: two sons and one daughter in law, Bruce and Linda McKinney of Sikeston and Dennis McKinney of Dallas, TX; one daughter and son in law, Laura "Kathy" and Ben Heil of Charleston; 8 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two sons, Bobby McKinney and Larry Joe McKinney; one brother, Herbert Gay and by three sisters, Mary Lou Minehart, Laura Davis and Ruth McKinney.
Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m, Wednesday, February 9, 2011 at the McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston where funeral services will conducted at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, February . Rev. Michael Brewer, pastor of the First Baptist Church of Charleston, will officiate.
Interment will follow in the Oak Grove Cemetery near Charleston under the direction of the McMikle Funeral Home.
