Neva Inez Kennedy, 83, of Matthews, died Wednesday, March 27 at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau. She was born Sept. 11, 1929 at Lepanto, Ark. to the late William Dexter Harmon and Ludie Alison (McMinn) Harmon Thom.
She had been employed as a machine punch operator at Atwood Vacuum Machine Co. in Rockford, Ill. and was a member of Shady Acres Church of Christ in Sikeston.
On Jan. 18, 1958 she was married to James Stanley Kennedy in Rockford and he survives of the home. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Two brothers and two sisters preceded her in death.
Graveside services will be held at 10:30 am Friday March 29 at Garden of Memories Cemetery with Pat Hogan, Minister at Shady Acres officiating.
Active pallbearers will be her nephews, Gary Kennedy, David Kennedy, Roger Kennedy, Gary Kennedy, Jr., Brad Kennedy and Justin Kennedy. Honorary pallbearers will be Lee Kennedy, Oscar Mainord, John Hazel, Louis Lineberry, Jerry Kelley, Charles Ulmer, Billy Littleton, James Price, Boyd Rapert, Tommy Romines, Mike Pyles and Kenny Johnson.
