Niki Lane

Donna Nicole "Niki" Lane, age 24, of Cape Girardeau, died Monday, January 16, 2023, in Cape Girardeau from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.

She was born August 3, 1998, at Knoxville, IA, to the late Jody Lorene Smyser Lane and Frank Erwin Lane, who survives of Newark, OH.  She had lived in Cape Girardeau for the past few years.

Surviving in addition to her father is her stepmother, Catherine Lane; brothers and sisters, Frank Charles Allen Lane of Newark, OH; Brandy Lorene (Cody) Umfleet of Missouri; Cody Smyser of Kansas City, MO and Joshua (Ashley) Lane of Newark, OH; special friends, Katelynn Schuller of Jackson, MO and Cathy Sneathern of Cape Girardeau; also a number of other relatives and many friends.

There will be no services.

Niki will be placed to rest near her mother in Ohio.

McMikle Funeral Home of Charleston is in charge of arrangements.
