Obituary

NINA FAYE COX REINBOTT, age 92, a resident of rural Bertrand, died Thursday, October 9, 2014, at the Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.

She was born September 26, 1922 in Bethel Springs, TN to the late Herbert and Fronie Washum Cox. Moving to Missouri in 1940, she graduated from Essex High School and then took a position teaching 8th grade in Richland during the years of WWII. In 1955 she moved to Mississippi County where she was an active farm wife and soon became a member of the New Bethel Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School and Vacation Bible School, worked with WMU and sang in the choir. She was active in her community serving as a Boy Scout Den mother, 4-H leader, a member of the Women's Missouri Extension Club where she served on the Extension council, helped to organize American Red Cross Blood drives, assisted during elections as a poll worker, and enjoyed working as a volunteer at the Charleston Nutrition Center. . Many benefitted from her skillful handwork in quilting, cross stitch and crocheting.


On November 28, 1946 she married Martin Louis Reinbott who survives of the home.

Also surviving are two sons, David (Chyrl) Reinbott of Scott City, Tim (Joyce) Reinbott of Centralia; one daughter, Myra Crews of Panama City, FL; one brother, George Cox of Dexter; seven grandchildren, Jennifer Wilson, Erin Adams, Laura Reinbott, Jill Reinbott, Emily Horne, Molly Reinbott, and Josh Reinbott.

In addition to her parents, three brothers and two sisters preceded her in death.

Visitation will be held at the McMikle Funeral Home on Sunday, October 12, 2014 from 1:00 p.m. until the Funeral Hour at 3:00 p.m. Rev. Ted Wimberley, pastor of the New Bethel Baptist Church, will officiate.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Dale Glenn, Johnny Shoffner, Max Carlyle, Jack Feezor, Daryle Cade, and Dennis Gross.

Interment will be held at 9:00 a.m. on Tuesday, October 14, 2014, at the Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield under the direction of McMikle Funeral Home.
