NOVA LEE WILLIAMS, age 100, formerly of Bertrand, died at 5:10 p.m. on Friday, May 20, 2011, at Miner Nursing Center.

She was born February 25, 1911 in Double Springs, AL to the late Walter and Nora Curtis Jackson.
Moving to Matthews in 1944, she had lived in New Madrid and Mississippi Counties most of her life.
She was a member of the Church of Christ in Matthews.

On June 29, 1928 she married Claude Williams who preceded her in death in 1981.

Surviving are two daughters, Margaret Morrow of Bertrand and Elba Ness of Rochester, IN; 14 grandchildren, 41 great grandchildren, and 23 great great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by one son, J.C. Williams; one daughter, Eulene Sperman; also nine brothers and sisters.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Sunday, May 22, 2011, at the McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston.

Graveside Services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Monday, May 23, 2011, at the Dempsey Cemetery near Red Bay, AL.
