OLA M. MILLER, age 94, died Monday, June 9, 2014, at her residence in Bertrand.

She was born April 28, 1920 to the late William and Nancy Jane Woods Hunt. She lived in Mississippi County her entire life where she worked for Brown Shoe Company for 26 years and was a longtime member of the First Baptist Church in Charleston.

On July 18, 1936 she married Alvie Nelson who preceded her in death in 1958. On January 28, 1966 she married Arch Miller who preceded her in death in 1989.

Surviving are for sons, Garland (Kitty) Nelson of Charleston, Billy Glen Nelson of Bacliff, TX, Jerry (Gail) Nelson of St. Louis, and Donald H. (Mary Ann) Nelson of Dickinson, TX; one daughter, Glenda Sue Faust of Santa Fe, TX; one sister in law, Lucy (Paul) Springer of O'Fallon; two step sons, Jim (Vickie) Miller of Crestwood and Larry Miller of Bertrand; one step daughter, Doris Mattingly of Jackson; 21 grandchildren, 33 great grandchildren, and several great great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by one son in law, Russell Faust, one step daughter in law, Barbara Miller, and twelve brothers and sisters.


Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 11, 2014, at the First Baptist Church in Charleston where Funeral Services will be conducted on Thursday, June 12, 2014, at 10:00 a.m. Rev. Michael Brewer of Charleston will officiate.

Interment will follow in the Oak Grove Cemetery under the direction of McMikle Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be her grandchildren: Keith Nelson, Tim Nelson, Danny Faust, Dennis Faust, Darrell Faust, Ricky Nelson, Randy Nelson, Mary Rita Jones, Terry Sprinkles, Tammy Marshall, Margaret McDowell, Sherry Short, Teresa Slovacek, Hope DePriest, Lisa Burnam, Susan Hequembourg, Beth Rolwing, Arlan Miller, Jennifer Mays, Allison Wilson, and Carrie St.Di.Gregorio.
