OLGA MAE WATSON PERRY, age 87, died Saturday, August 15, 2015, at 7:40 a.m. at her residence in Charleston.
She was born November 22, 1927 in the Lusk Chapel Community in Scott County, to the late William Albert and Ophelia Franklin Watson and had lived in the Charleston area her entire life. She was a charter member of the Southside Baptist Church where she willingly served and taught through- out her life.
On October 20, 1946 she married Jesse Robert Perry who preceded her in death on March 22, 2005.
Surviving are one son and daughter in law, Jesse Robert and Liz Perry II of Juneau, AK; three daughters and sons in law, Sondra and Stephen Britton of Sikeston; Linda and Rocky Walker and Denise and Tom Daughhetee all of Charleston; seven grandsons, Thomas Gideon of Nashville, TN, Christopher Gideon of Sikeston, Adam Daughhetee of Sikeston , Caleb Daughhetee of Cabot, AR, Jesse Robert Perry III of St. Louis, Joel Perrry of Juneau, AK, and Rocky Walker II of Charleston; two granddaughters, Jennifer Jessen of Louisville, KY, and Christie Rochelle Mueller of Jackson; six great grandsons, Rocky "Trey" Walker III of Charleston, Ramzy and and Odin Gideon of Sikeston, Silas Daughhetee of Sikeston, Grant and Haddon Jessen of Louisville, KY; ten great granddaughters, Natalie, Brianna, and Makayla Mueller of Jackson , Maegan Walker of Charleston, Haley, Aubrey and Olga Gideon of Sikeston, Ellie Mae and Emma Grace Daughhetee of Cabot, AR and Isabell Jessen of Louisville, KY; many nieces and nephews, and one special sister in law, Ruth Watson of Diehlstadt.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one sister, Margaret Fox, and one brother, Billy G. Watson.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm Monday, August 17, 2015, at the McMikle Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be conducted at Southside Baptist Church on Tuesday, August 18, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. Her son, Jesse Robert "Bobby" Perry II and Rev. Mike McKinney, pastor of Southside Baptist Church, will officiate.
Interment will follow in the IOOF Cemetery under the direction of McMikle Funeral Home.
