Opal Louise Parham, 86, died at her home in Sikeston Wednesday, March 9, 2016. She was born Nov. 23, 1929 in Hickman, Kentucky to the late Wilton Edward and Ovella Mae (Stokes) Scott. She moved to Sikeston in 1969 from East Prairie and was a member of Trinity Gospel Church. She was well known for her talented skills as a seamstress. She is survived by 4 sons: Stanley (Candy) Parham of Sikeston, Jimmy (Tina) Parham of Bremerton, Washington, Dennis (Cherlyn) Parham of Jackson and Mart Parham of Sikeston; 2 daughters, SaDonna Thompson and Shelly DeLaRosa both of Sikeston; 3 brothers: Sammy Scott of Anniston, Donnie Scott of East Prairie and Bennie Scott of Glasgow, Ky; and 2 sisters Doris Little of East Prairie and Martha Jackson of Glasgow. Also surviving are 11 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandson. She was preceded in death by 3 brothers, J.W. Scott, Chester Scott & Arlie Lynn Scott; 1 sister, Almeda Greer; and 1 son-in-law, Tony DeLaRosa. Visitation will be at Trinity Gospel Church at Wakefield & Davis Blvd. in Sikeston Friday, March 11 from 5 until 8 pm. Funeral Services will also be at Trinity Gospel Church at 10:30 am Saturday, March 12 with Ann Brock officiating. Burial will follow at East Prairie Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Blanchard Funeral Chapel. Active pallbearers will be Stanley Parham, Michael Thompson, Josh Parham, Nicholas DeLaRosa, Dylan Hensley and Michael Burton. Honorary pallbearers will be Sheila Parham, Tanya Burton, Scarlet Moore, Tenessa Kelley, Suzanne Bickings, Megan Marchi, Katie Newman and Kim Pinkard.
