William "Oscar" Mainord, 90, a resident of Matthews, died Friday,, April 17, 2015 at Sikeston Convalescent Center in Sikeston. He was born Oct. 4, 1924 in Matthews to the late Oscar K. and Ella Frances (Singleton) Mainord. A lifelong resident of Matthews, he had been a car salesman for over 42 years and was a member of Shady Acres Church of Christ in Sikeston. He was married to Louise E. Eddy Jan. 15, 1956 in Sikeston and she survives of the home. Other survivors include 1 nephew, who was raised in the home, William Oscar "Sonny" (Mary) Eddy of LaForge; 2 nieces raised in the home, Marilyn Cole of Delano, Tennessee and Ann (Don) Lowman of Cabot,, Arkansas. 8 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren also survive as well as several other special nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by 2 brothers and 1 sister. Visitation will be at Blanchard Funeral Chapel from 4 until 7 pm Sunday, April 19, 2015. Funeral services will be held in the
