Otis Leroy Greer, 81, a life-long resident of the Sikeston area, died Wednesday, April 6, 2016 at his home. He was born May 1, 1934 in Sikeston to the late Emlus and Lola (Turley) Greer. He had been a machine operator at (Potlatch) Tetra-Pak for 36 years, was a member of North Acres General Baptist Church and had attended Potter House Ministries. On March 22, 1958 he married Merle McIntyre at Morehouse and she survives of the home. Also surviving are 1 son, Daniel Leroy Greer of Salcedo; 1 daughter and son-in-law, Ellen and Johnny Jenkins of Sikeston; 2 brothers, Aubrey Greer of Lompoc, California and Johnny Greer of Sikeston. Seven Grandchildren and six great-grandchildren also survive. He was also preceded in death by 1 son, Benny Greer; 1 daughter, Lisa Lathum; 1 grandson, Dustin Greer and 1 daughter-in-law, Hilda Greer. Visitation will be at Blanchard Funeral Chapel from 5 until 8 pm, Friday. Funeral Services will be held in the chapel at 10:30 am Saturday with Rev. Liz Banks, pastor of Trinity Chapel officiating and burial will follow at Gravel Hill Cemetery.
