Obituary

OTTIS B. MORROW, age 78, formerly of Benton, died Tuesday, December 29, 2020, at his home in Wappapello.

Born June 29, 1942, at Red Bay, AL, to the late Richard H. Morrow and Mattie Pearl Strickland Morrow, he had lived in Benton most of his life, moving to Wappapello just a few years ago.   He was a self-employed carpenter until his retirement.   He was a member of the Blodgett Baptist Church and a member of the Masonic Lodge.   He loved gardening and was an avid fisherman.

On June 14, 1963, he married Patsy Ann Lynn, who survives of the home.

Also surviving are his sons, Gregory Lynn (Mary) Morrow of St. Louis and Ryan Patrick (Crystal) Morrow of Dexter, KY; his grandchildren, Nolan, Evan, Elizabeth, Taylor and Landon; his brothers and sisters, Grover (Mary Ann) Morrow of Diehlstadt, Mike (Penny) Morrow and Danny (Mary) Morrow all of Wappepello; Roger (Glenda) Morrow of Benton; Debbie (Mike) Hornback and Theresa (David) Jones of Morley; Rita (Kenny) Belt and Donna Sevic of Sikeston; brother in law, Art Romanowski;  also, a number of nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandson, Gabriel James Morrow; his brothers, Garland (Betty) Morrow, Richard (Connie) Morrow; his sister, Bonnie Romanowski; and his nephew, Jonathan Morrow.

Visitation will be from 12:00 p.m. until the funeral hour at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, January 2, 2020, at the McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston.  Rev. David Thompson, pastor of the Morley Baptist Church, will officiate.

Private interment will follow at the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery at Bloomfield with military honors.
