Obituary

Pam (Leonard) Yant, 56, died at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston Monday, May 12, 2014. She was born June 21, 1957 in Paducah, KY to the late William Richard "Bill" and Wanda Sue (Howard) Leonard. Pam had lived in Bakersfield, California for a while but had resided in Sikeston most of her life; she was a political activist with the Tea Party and a member of the Scott County Republican Women. She was also a member of Trinity Full Gospel Church. On Oct. 30, 1977 she was married to Joe Yant in Sikeston. She is survived by 3 daughters and 1 son-in-law: Vicki and Brandon Forester of Aurora, MO and Marie Yant and Kasi Yant both of Sikeston; 2 sisters, Soozi Hovis of Sikeston and Sherrie Perry of Decatur, Mississippi; and by 4 grandchildren, Hannah Yant and Lizzie Hays both of Sikeston and Casen and Bailey Forester, both of Aurora. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by one brother, Rick Leonard. Visitation will be at Trinity Full Gospel Church from 4 until 6 pm Friday, May 16, 2014. A Memorial Service will be held at the church at 6:00 pm with Rev. Len Meyers, the pastor and Rev. Mitch Jackson, pastor of Miner Baptist Church officiating. Pam and her family were proud of the fact that she was an organ donor. Memorial contributions may be made in her honor to the Pam Yant Memorial Fund c/o Trinity Full Gospel Church 901 Davis Blvd. Sikeston, MO 63801.
