PANSY ELAINE TERRELL, Age 81, a resident of Bertrand, died Wednesday, June 1, 2016, at the St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
Born May 14, 1935, at Dorena, MO, to the late James Andrew "Doc" Jones and Eva Jewell Denning Jones, she had lived in Bertrand most of her life where she was a member of the Church of God. She had been employed for a number of years at the Howard's Café in Charleston and the later the Bertrand Nursing Center until she retired.
On July 7, 1951, she married Harlen Bruce Terrell, who survives of the home.
Also surviving is one son, Kevin Terrell of Bertrand; four daughters, Brenda (Roger) Pendergrass, Darlene (David) Hurley and Terri Hicks all of Bertrand and Jenna (Don) Faught of Blodgett; four sisters, Wanda Byrd and Linda Parr of Bertrand; Marie Crumley of Sikeston and Anita Riddle of Dexter; nine grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
One brother, Jimmy Jones, preceded her in death.
Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. until the funeral hour at 11:00 a.m., Friday, June 3, 2016, at the McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston. Todd Crumley, of Sikeston, will officiate.
Interment will follow in Dogwood Cemetery near East Prairie under the direction of the McMikle Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be: Jeff Pendergrass, Michael Hurley, Ryan Hicks, Dustin Faught, Zachary Faught and Blake Pendergrass.
Honorary Pallbearers will be: Noah Watkins, Jaden Watkins, Isaiah Watkins, Gabriel Hurley, Chase Laster and Aaron Hurley.
