PAUL DAVID BONE, Age 74, a resident of Charleston, died Tuesday, May 2, 2017, at Southeast Health in Cape Girardeau.
Born November 17, 1942, in Mississippi County, MO, to the late Emmett and Lucy Mae Scott Bone, he had lived in Charleston most of his life and attended Charleston Schools. He was employed with Thomason-Walker Shell Station (later Thomason) a number of years and then with Galemore Motor Company before going to work for Mississippi County Highway Department from which he retired. After retirement, he did seasonal work for Mike Bryant Farms of Charleston. He served as a volunteer with the Mississippi County Rescue Squad for a number of years.
Surviving is his life companion of 53 years, Mable Marie Kidd Sims of Charleston.
Paul is also survived by one daughter, Johnna (Jeff) Hall of Charleston; one brother, Larry Bone of East Prairie; three grandchildren, Jeff Hall, Jr. and Derek (Anessa Hammel) Hall both of Charleston and Melanie Hall of Sikeston; four great grandchildren, Jude Hall, Jocelyn Hall, Julianne Hall and Finnian Hammel. Also, several nieces and nephews survive.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Emmett Bone, Jr., Edward Bone and Jerry Bone.
Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until the funeral hour at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, May 6, 2017, at the McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston. The Rev. Mike McKinney, pastor of the Southside Baptist Church of Charleston, will officiate.
Interment will follow in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery near Charleston under the direction of the McMikle Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Junior DeLay, Robert Crosier, Jeff Hall Jr., Richard Wallace, Mark Baugh, and Bill Hobbs.
