IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Paul William
Hill
February 5, 1939 – July 24, 2022
Paul William Hill, 83, passed away July 24, 2022, at The Missouri Veterans Home in Cape Girardeau, Missouri. Paul was born February 5, 1939, in Charleston, Missouri to Charles Hardin and Grace May Hill. A 1957 graduate of Charleston High School, he attended Southeast Missouri State University. Paul is a proud veteran of the United States Army where he served as a Communications Center Specialist in Germany.
After serving in the United States Army, Paul began a career in sales with an emphasis in the chemical and grain industries. While working for George U. Shelby at Shelby Grain Co., he was elected to serve as Advisor on the Missouri Governor's Grain Advisory Committee from 1981-1983. Paul retired from the grain business and kept busy by helping his close friends and family. It was not uncommon to see Paul babysitting or running errands and doing those honey-dos for those who were unable. Some of his best times were driving his friends around, whether it was a trip to the doctor or just levee riding and enjoying a cold beverage. A friend once called him and requested he take him to buy a golf cart… Paul knew the place was closed, but still obliged!
If you ran into Paul as an acquaintance or as a friend, you probably have a story, and they always ended with a laugh. His sense of humor was, well, Bodacious!
Paul had a deep love for Kentucky Lake, Elvis Presley, all things firearms, food, and his family. He educated everyone he met on all the above.
Paul is survived by his brother Charles David Hill of Oran, his sister Marilyn Hasty (Lynn) of Sikeston; his son, Scott Hill (Janelle) of Phoenix, AZ, his daughters, Robbin Hansen (Michael Ragan) of Louisville, KY, Amy Garrison (Chris) of St. Louis, MO, and Heather Cooksey (Jim) of Matthews, MO; his grandchildren, Kayla Hill, Colten Hill (Renee), Caine Hill, Jordan Snyder (Megan), Adam Cooksey, Delaney Cooksey, and Calleigh Cooksey; great grandchildren, Leo Snyder, London Snyder, and Lucy "Lulu" Snyder; his niece Ann Renee Hubbard of Oran, and his nephew Michael Hasty (Kayla) of Osceola, AR.
Preceding Paul in death are his parents Charles Hardin and Grace May (Woods) Hill of Sikeston
