Obituary

Paul Anderson Rollins, 88, a former resident of Charleston, went to be with his heavenly Father on Saturday, May 29, 2021 at the Missouri Veterans Home-Cape Girardeau.
He was born on August 30, 1932, in Holcomb, Missouri, to the late Willis James and Ruth Marie Anderson Rollins. Paul grew up on the family farm and graduated from Holcomb High School in 1950.

Shortly afterwards in 1952, he joined the Navy, serving as a boilermaker on the destroyers, USS Yancy, USS Hopewell and the USS Lofberg. He loved serving his country and was honorably discharged in March 1956.
While living in San Diego, he met the love of his life, Nora Koury Rollins and they were married on December 1, 1957.
The family relocated to the Bootheel of Missouri in 1963 where Paul was employed in several different job positions. He began working for the United States Postal Service in 1969. He served as Postmaster in Portageville, Peach Orchard and Wyatt and finished out his career in East Prairie where he served the office for 13 years prior to retiring in 1992.

He was the loving and devoted Father to four children and their spouses. Those surviving are Paul Larry Rollins and his wife, Jessica, of Conroe, Texas, Sophie Dugan and her husband, Clark, of Charleston, Missouri, Michelle Tandy and her husband, Paul, of Wildwood, Missouri and his daughter- in -law, Judi
Rollins of Cape Girardeau, Missouri.

He was the proud Popo of eight beautiful grandchildren, Rebecca (Jake) McNichols of Cape Girardeau, Emily (Anthony) Deuster of Sikeston, Katherine (Josh) Hart of Mandeville, Louisiana, Hunter Dugan of Charleston, Chelsea Rollins of Conroe, Texas, Caroline Rollins of St. Louis, Cooper Tandy and Tucker Tandy both of Wildwood, Missouri.
His great grandbabies were his pride and joy, Mary-Grace Deuster, Ava McNichols, Nora Deuster and Holten Hart.

Also surviving is his brother, Terry (Mary) Rollins of Cape Girardeau, Missouri, his sister, Carolyn (Reuben) Seay of Rector, Arkansas, his sister- in -law, Betty Jo Stafford of Albuquerque, New Mexico, a host of cousins, nieces, nephews and his friends and caregivers that he grew to love as his second family at the Missouri Veterans Home-Cape Girardeau.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by an infant brother, Willis James Rollins, Jr., his brother, Jimmy Ray Rollins, his beloved son, Robbie Rollins and his beautiful wife, Nora on May 7, 2010.

Visitation for friends and family will be held from 4:30 pm until 6:3 0 pm on Thursday, June 3, 2021 at the McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston, Missouri. A memorial service will follow with Father David Dohogne, pastor of St. Henry Catholic Church of Charleston, officiating.
Committal services will be at 10:00 AM on Friday, June 4, 2021 at the Missouri
State Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield, Missouri with full military honors.
Pallbearers will be: Hunter Dugan, Cooper Tandy, Tucker Tandy, Anthony Deuster, Clark Dugan and Paul Tandy.
