Paula Elizabeth Long, 67, of Charleston, Missouri, died on March 12, 2025, in Sikeston, Missouri. She was born April 11, 1957, in St. Louis, Missouri, and lived her entire life in Charleston.
She graduated from Charleston High School in 1975 and then from Heil Beauty School, becoming a licensed cosmetologist. She worked at Creative Collections salon and as the assistant manager at the Charleston bowling alley. For many years, she was employed in home health care. She loved her family and friends and also took care of many family members and friends, both young and elderly, over the years. She volunteered with children's ministries and the Sunday School program at Cornerstone Church in Bertrand, Missouri, and enjoyed counted cross stitch.
Paula is survived by sisters Cyndi Long Mugridge and Debbie Long Alvarez, both of Charleston; aunts Carol McCullough of Queen City, Texas, and Linda Mungle of Benton, Missouri; nieces Kelly, Trevor and Ivy Ettenborough of Dearborn, Michigan, and Christian and Kim O'Connor of Casa Grande, Arizona; and cousins Matt, Kimberly and Milo Mungle of McKinney, Texas, and Channin and Tammy McCullough and Katryn McCullough Latsko, all of Queen City, Texas.
She was preceded in death by her brother Ted Long, parents Paul and Virginia Long, uncles Stanley Mungle and Kendall Mungle, grandparents Edward and Elizabeth Mungle and Thomas and Laura Long, and great-grandparents Walter and Cora Sue Reynolds.
A private family service will be held. Milton Harrington, pastor of the First Baptist Church of Charleston, will officiate.
Interment will be at I.O.O.F. Cemetery near Charleston.
