PAULINE B. SLATEN PINELLE, age 91, a resident of Pueblo, CO formerly of Charleston, died Tuesday, October 27, 2015, in Pueblo.
She was born October 18, 1924 in Hot Springs, AR to the late E. Roy and Myrtle Kemp Slaten. At a young age, her family moved to Charleston where she attended school and graduated from high school as valedictorian. While living in Pueblo she had worked Rainbo Bakery and enjoyed sewing and quilt embroidery.
On December 20, 1945 she married Joseph V. Pinelle, Sr. who preceded her in death.
Surviving are four children, Mike (Rona) Pinelle, Paula Jo (Sam) Geonetta, Joseph V. Pinelle, Jr., and Lisa (Dan) DeNise; two brothers, Gene Slaten and Kemp Slaten; one sister, Martha Jane Baker; and one sister in law, Frances Slaten.
In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by one grandson, Adam Geonetta; two brothers, Carlton Slaten and Hal Slaten; and one sister, Minnie S. Warren.
Funeral Mass will be conducted on Friday, November 6, 2015 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Pueblo. Interment will follow in the Roselawn Cemetery.
Services are under the direction of George McCarthy Funeral Home in Pueblo, CO.
