PEARL MARIE HUTSON POLEY, Age 73, a resident of East Prairie, died Sunday, September 06, 2009 at the Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.
Born March 27, 1936, in the Deventer Community of Mississippi County, Mo., to the late George and Flossie Smith Hutson, she had lived in Mississippi County her entire life and had been employed by Gertrude Jones. A member of the First Christian Church in East Prairie, she was a long time member of the Star Sunday School Class.
On April 4, 1953, she married James E. Poley, who preceded her in death August 11, 2007.
Surviving are: two sons: James Alvin Poley of Paducah, KY and Earl Eugene Poley of East Prairie; four grandchildren, Neal Ray Weems and James Alvin Poley, Jr., both of Paducah, KY; Emily Paige Ledbetter of Rockport, West Virginia and Victoria Marie Poley of East Prairie; one great grandson, Tyler James Ledbetter and three great granddaughters, Amanda M. Nutting, Samantha A. Yates and Tiffany N. Yates.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, George Hutson and Bob Hutson and by two sisters, Glenda Frizzell and Annie Wallace.
Friends may call from 10:00 a.m. until the funeral hour at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, September 9, 2009 at the McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston. Larry Lane, Minister for the First Christian Church in East Prairie, will officiate.
Interment will follow in the Oak Grove Cemetery near Charleston under the direction of the McMikle Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be: John Ponder, Larry Britt, Bill Munger, Jerry Maxwell, Harold Johnson and Milas Mainord.
