PEGGY JUNE POLEY HARDIN, age 80, a resident of Sikeston, died Wednesday, October 14, 2020, at the Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.
Born June 5, 1940, at East Prairie, to the late Robert William and Jen Nettie Burnes Poley, she had lived in Sikeston a number of years and had been employed at Lamberts Café. She was of Baptist belief.
She was married to Thomas Lee McWhirter who preceded her in death. She then married Junior Hardin who also preceded her in death.
Surviving are her children, Billy Ray McWhirter of Sikeston; William Cleburn McWhirter of Charleston; Peggy Sue Cantrell and Kathy Rayburn both of Sikeston and Cynthia Hall of Mississippi; her brothers, Floyd Poley of South Carolina and Delbert Poley of Bertrand; a number of grandchildren and great grandchildren.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her daughters, Brenda Gail Shon, Nola Jeannettie Worthy and Peggy McWhirter; her brothers, James, Cortez, Junior, Henry, George and Melvin Poley and her sisters, Christine Parker, Beulah Everly, Matilda Hedge and Lola Hayden.
Private services will be held.
McMikle Funeral Home of Sikeston is in charge of arrangements.
